Platform Overview

What JournalDock Is Today

JournalDock is a trading record platform built around proof, accountability, and progression. Traders can keep a permanent public profile, sync real MT5 activity, compete in Gold for paid monthly prizes, and build toward higher-status milestones like Platinum through disciplined performance.

Core Product

The four things the platform is built to do

This is the current product direction, not the older version of the platform.

Build A Permanent Track Record

JournalDock is not just a journal system. It is designed to help you become a more professional trader by tracking your behavior, discipline, and performance over time while you benefit from community visibility, social trading energy, Gold competition prizes, and crowdfunding support from fellow members. If your record qualifies after eight months, it can become the kind of proof that attracts investor attention.

Sync Real MT5 Activity

The MT5 connector pushes broker-synced trades into the platform so trader profiles can show real account performance instead of self-reported screenshots only.

Compete For Gold Prizes

Gold is restricted to active Pro members with a Gold ticket and non-Pro members who purchase a ticket. Non-Pro ticket holders are temporarily connected to the monitored JournalDock VPS so every Gold account can be checked consistently for fairness. The free overall leaderboard remains open to everyone.

Improve With Accountability

Journal entries, discipline signals, monthly rewards, and profile analytics are designed to reward consistency and risk-managed trading over hype.

MT5 Sync

How the MT5 workflow works

The MT5 connector is now a real part of the onboarding and verification journey.

Step 1

Download and install the JournalDock MT5 Connector from the Downloads page

Step 2

Create a connector token inside MT5 Pilot

Step 3

Paste the token into the desktop connector app

Step 4

Keep MT5 and the EA running so broker trades sync automatically

Step 5

Synced trades then feed profile analytics, Gold rankings, and proof-of-performance pages

Gold Competition

Why Gold matters

Gold is meant to make the platform feel alive and give traders a real reason to keep building their record.

Gold is the monitored prize-competition layer on top of the free public track-record platform.
Active Pro members receive one included ticket for the next Gold competition month.
Non-Pro members may enter Gold by purchasing a ticket and using temporary JournalDock VPS monitoring.
Manual or independently hosted sync remains valid for the overall leaderboard, but does not count toward Gold.
Only qualified trades from the monitored Gold account count toward Gold ranking.
Trades opened before a user upgrades do not qualify for Gold.
The page shows the live pot, the current prize ladder, your rank, your return, and your current prize.

Gold In One Sentence

Gold gives serious traders something to look forward to winning while they build a visible, risk-managed track record that stays with them over time.

Pricing Model

How the current commercial model works

The platform is built around preserving trader history while charging for active premium services.

Free plan: build and keep your track record forever and participate on the overall leaderboard.
Pro plan: currently $14.99 per month in the live product design.
Paid plans and Gold ticket platform fees support automatic syncing, monitoring, and VPS costs.
If Pro lapses, the trader does not lose their historical record. They return to free manual syncing and the overall leaderboard; future Gold entry requires renewed Pro eligibility or a purchased ticket with temporary VPS monitoring.

Progression

The path beyond Gold

Platinum is being shaped as a longer-term badge of quality rather than just a profitability badge.

Platinum is designed to represent traders who combine time, performance, and discipline.
The platform now tracks progress using months traded, total return, drawdown behavior, return-to-drawdown quality, and discipline score.
This is meant to encourage traders to build a durable record, not just chase one lucky month.

Shared Responsibility

What the platform handles and what traders must handle

This is now part of onboarding because the MT5 sync journey depends on both sides doing their part.

JournalDock is responsible for platform uptime, system stability, and the integrity of the sync and profile infrastructure.
Traders are responsible for keeping their MT5 sync running and making sure their broker activity is being captured correctly.
Technical support issues should be directed to support@journaldock.com.

Support contact

If a trader hits a technical issue with sync or platform access, they should contact support@journaldock.com.
